Markings

carved coats of arms on upper half of bead:
upper: bears party fessewise, in chief of a lion rampant and paly of 7 and in base 3 mascles with a bendlet sinister overall - arms of Dismas de Berghes, illegitimate son of Jean II de Glymes, Lord of Bergen op Zoom
lower lozenge-shaped shield: impaling a bend wavy between in chief a mullet of 5 points and a crescent, in base a fleur-de-lis -arms of his wife, Marie Laurin
