Description

Letter P, with smaller letters H and S set within, forming the monogram PHS, for Philippus. On interior, six roundels depicting the legend of the apostle Philip. Beginning with the three left-most roundels at top: Saint Philip setting out on his mission; Saint Philip preaching in Scythia; Saint Philip refusing to worship an idol and provoking the wrath of a dragon lurking within; on the two roundels below, the taking of Philip; the crucifixion of Philip. On the roundel at upper right, burial of Saint Philip.
